I accidentally did that to someone the other day. I pulled in when a huge van was pulling out and didn't see the other guy waiting. Fortunately, I saw what I had done right after I pulled in the spot rolled the window down and held up the lane so that guy could get in without someone else doing what I had just done. Otherwise I agree with it.

It's most likely an automatic. It's a Ford so it has a shifter interlock override. You push in the override, pop it in neutral, and push it out of the parking spot. Preferably into the path of a Kenworth or a freight train.
